Welcome, I’m Abbie, the owner of Galactic Grooms. My journey began with my first dog, Danny; because he was deaf and blind, I learned early on that some dogs need extra patience and a gentle touch to feel safe.

After earning my City and Guilds qualification in a busy salon, I saw how easily dogs can become stressed in that environment. I knew they deserved better. Following my time volunteering at Second Chance Animal Rescue and serving as the primary groomer at Harfields Pet Retreat, I launched Galactic Grooms. Today, I provide a calm, one-on-one service using natural ingredients to ensure your dog leaves feeling relaxed, happy, and their absolute best.

A Celestial Introduction: £0

Before their first grooming appointment, we invite your dog to a free meet & greet with Abbie in our cosmic cabin. This helps them feel safe and comfortable in their new pampering environment. Get in touch or book online.

Pluto Pawdicure: £15

Keep your dog’s paws healthy and happy with our Pluto Pawdicure. We’ll trim their nails, massage their paw pads with a rejuvenating balm to soothe and moisturise, and carefully trim the surrounding hair for optimal paw health and hygiene.

Space Re-fresh: from £35

Need a quick refresh for your dog? Our Space Re-fresh is the perfect solution between full grooms. This express service includes:

  • Customised double shampoo, chosen to suit your dog’s individual coat and skin needs.
  • Soothing natural conditioner
  • Brush and blow-dry
  • Gentle facial cleansing
  • Ear cleaning
  • Nail clipping
  • Paw and nose balm
  • Optional spritz of dog-friendly perfume

Full Galactic Groom: from £55

Give your dog the ultimate cosmic pampering experience with our Full Galactic Groom! This comprehensive service includes everything your dog needs for a complete makeover:

  • Customised double shampoo, chosen to suit your dog’s individual coat and skin needs.
  • Soothing natural conditioner
  • Thorough brush and blow-dry
  • Breed-specific haircut, clip, or de-shedding treatment
  • Gentle facial cleansing
  • Ear cleaning
  • Hygiene area and paw pad trim

Puppy Space Training: from £25

Set your puppy up for a lifetime of positive grooming experiences with our “Puppy Space Training.” We recommend a free pre-groom meet and greet to allow your puppy to become familiar with our cosmic cabin before their training begins. 

We will gently introduce them to the essential elements of grooming in a fun and stress-free environment, ensuring they feel comfortable and confident:

  • Soothing Warm Bath: Using hypoallergenic and natural puppy shampoo for gentle cleansing.
  • Gentle Drying: Soft towel dry with a gradual introduction to the blow dryer at a low setting, if tolerated.
  • Tidy Trim (if needed): Gentle trimming of the face and feet for a neat and tidy appearance.
  • Delicate Brushing: Introduces them to the sensation of brushing and helps remove loose fur.
  • Ear Cleaning: Maintains ear hygiene.
  • Nail Trim: Introduces them to nail trimming and prevents overgrowth.

They will also receive a certificate to commemorate their first grooming experience!

The earlier they are introduced to the smells and sensations of the salon, at their own pace, the happier they will feel with the process. Please ensure they are fully vaccinated.

Teeth Cleaning

Our Full Grooms include a cleansing foam which helps tackle build-up of tartar and plaque and leaves the breath smelling fresh.
